Z1000 exhaust whistling?
 

Hey,

Recently just installed the arrow 4-2-2 full system on my z1000 11 plate and have noticed that they were leaking smoke slightly out the front headers so tightened them up a bit more which had stopped the smoke but has a high pitch whistle which sounds like its coming from the engine?

I didn't replace the copper gaskets for the front header so do you think this could be the cause of this?

Any help would be appreciated

just cos you can't see any gas pass the joint don't mean a slight leaks not there.
if you can get it stationary get a length of small bore hose and use this as a stethascope to pin down the location of the noise.
why u no put new gaskets then.All that dosh and work then cut a corner .bad man

Well I'm going to get some exhaust gaskets and take it off and re fit it first then see if the solves the problem -.-
