Taking 33bhp Restrictors Out?
I've had my bike for a while now and am confident with my ability to ride it. I was just looking for some advice as to what are the possible downsides of taking my restrictors out? I cant stand how rich and lumpy it is when it drives and really want them out (cheap washers in the injectors).
Any help/ guidance would be appreciated :) |

Insurance? Court? No licence? Jail? Getting bummed by "Big Bubba" ? Rectal trauma? Seepage? ;) |
Re: Taking 33bhp Restricotrs Out?
I know its not the best idea, its just annoying when the bike isn't running as well as it could do, although the idea of getting "Rectal Trauma" is a persuasive argument to not take them out :L

Leave them in until your 2 years is up.

Or go with restricted ECU? More expensive option but I got one second hand for £40 and it runs great, just starts to run out of steam between 86 and 106mph.

Re: Taking 33bhp Restrictors Out?
or do your test after your 21 on a larger engine cc.
if your going to take them out any way. Wouldn't tell the world about it just keep it to yourself. But if you did have an serious accident and no proof of a restrictor your pretty much liable no matter who's fault. Personally I would just either wait or redo test after the age of 21. not worth the risk. besides with more BPH its more tempting to start pushing the speed limit which is a no no. besides the_lone_wolf is right. A saw bum is never a good feeling. |

Yeah its just how twins are i think. My sv can jerk occassionally at low speed and slow revs. I dont think a restrictor would effect th? Mine was the same at low speed when it was restricted
