Which restriction is better? Pointy.

i have an 04 restricted using washers and a throttle stop.
would a ecu restriction been any better?
anyone experienced both, and have opinions on any differences?
thanks guys :)

Re: restriction

I had an ECU restrictor on my K3 and the only difference was in throttle feel. ECU restricted gives you full throttle movement, but the power delivery is the same in real terms. With the Washers in a hire bike I found that on long runs, the bike could build up speed and had a slightly higher top speed, but only by one or two MPH. The lack of throttle movement though was extremely annoying.

I would say live with it until your restriction is over and then ride it like you stole it. Also, use your gears more and you will find that it is still an aggressive bike and can easily go light on the front end and put a very big smile on your face. :D

I found the ecu to be much smoother.

Was just wondering since I have the same bike as my friend. His is a little newer, but accelerates faster. Both restricted but one by Ecu. And one by washers :,)
Suppose it may just be the throttle stop.
Thanks guys :)

I have used both the washer and throttle stop are just rubbish compared with the ecu.
The ride is better when you hit the limit its a much better feel not so sudden if you get what I mean.

Oh and defo a bit faster on pull away..
