Chunk o sirloin

Cheryl and I had a bit of a treat tonight, got a chunk of sirloin and some cheap talapia fish to bung on the bbq

Threw it over the coals for a minute or so, then moved it from directly over the coals and put the lid on the bbq and cooked it for about 40 mins, took the sirloin off and rested it for 20 mins. We sliced it thinish and just nommed it up.

It was fantastic, pinker than it looks on the pics, it just melted in the mouth.

The fish we just seasoned and put under the lid for 10 mins and it was perfect

Looking nice that sir stretch.

How ever my beans on toast minus the beans for tea was rubbish.

Where's the burgers ?

Burgers were on the weekend, Grunty has mastered burger making now. She always made great burgers but now they are awesome :)

God I love BBQ food.

Need to invest in a gas one though as have spent a small fortune on disposables already this year.

Don;t get a Gas BBQ, waste of money you may aswell just cook on a hob, the charcoal is what adds to the flavour of the food.

Agree charcoal BBQ's definitely add to the flavour. Just prefer gas for the convenience really as can get it going in a few minutes and coals are reusable. Great for that quick midweek barbeque after work :)

Not a gas BBQ fan myself but I do LOVE the idea of being able to say "Sod it, should we have a BQQ" and then be cooking within five minutes instead of about 40 while waiting for the coals.

But my dad has told me if I ever get a Gas BBQ he will kill me then disown me

I was considering some lewd innuendo regarding your meat, its size, and getting my lips around it.

However I shall rise above such childish behaviour.
