XKCD fans... Time comic
I guess there must be a few fans of the http://www.xkcd.com comic series on here. There was one a while back (March 25th) titled "Time" what I hadn't picked up on is that it changes every hour (half hour to begin with) but the previous pictures aren't available on the site, visitors only ever see that one moment. http://xkcd.com/1190/
I often don't get what a comic is about as they are often pretty existential or just specialised so I hadn't appreciated this one, I suspected there was more to it than I knew but didn't investigate. Today I've been told of a site that has indexed them since launch and has them set to either scroll through or play as an animation, stopping at important frames. http://geekwagon.net/projects/xkcd1190/ Hope some of you enjoy it. (my apologies to your productivity) |

That's awesome!
(I thought that at the time that it didn't really make much sense, but I'm on the same wavelength as you that some are just very abstract.) |

Ah cool, glad I wasn't the only one :)
Did you all see the one to explore where you drag around (or the adapted one to use cursor keys and space to fly) http://xkcd.kajakklubben.org/ Just as an aside, does anyone else find themselves reading the "What If" comics in Yorkie Chris' voice? somehow it seems to fit with the wording. http://what-if.xkcd.com/ |
Re: XKCD fans... Time comic
I saw the comic and a few sites like that. I have not explored it all yet. I really liked the different approaches to explore it too.
Never met Yorkie-Chris, so no I don't read it in his voice. I do have Freemanic Paracusia though. |
