33bhp or 69bhp, restricted or not?
 

Hi, I need to sell my lovely pointy SV650s Crescent (2003) but don't know whether it's restricted or not. I seem to recall when I bought it that it was a 69bhp but don't want to mislead a buyer, and the V5 doesn't appear to tell me!

In case you're wondering, I can't tell from the top speed as I've never pushed it beyond 95mph, although it got there far too easily for my liking! ;)

Any advice on how to check this would be gratefully received. Thank you!:)

can you get the ecu out and note down the raised numbers on the outside of the casing? you wont need to unplug it, just remove the side panels below the riders seat, then unbolt the riders seat.

A 5 minute job ;)

If your ecu says mgt 060 it is an unrestricted ecu. If the ecu says mgt 061 it is the restricted ecu.

Don't want to put a spanner in the works but it could be restricted with washers and a throttle stop or just the washers may be worth taking the air box off to check for washers.
