In a word: Short.

It's fun, up & down, got some sweeping and tight corners. Facilities are basic, but the circuit has a great character.

GSXR1000 will be fine, but you're not going to stretch its legs, and prepare to be beaten by smaller bikes as it's power won't come into play all that much. Check out youtube for an idea :)

Thats fair enough what lap times do people get round there? and do the sessions run like most track days with novice, inters and fast groups?

Ill be there either on the R6 or the SV650 my old man will be on the Gixxer and the brother on the KTM 690SM so should be a laugh

Last time there was 4 groups. Its short, but lot of fun. There was a guy with a gxr (don't remember if it was a 750 or 1k) mental, overtook everyone in a lap and a half tops on the fast group; brilliant.
Lap times? Dunno, I did around 15 laps every 15 minutes, counting with the first 2 going slow to warm up the tyres + last one, and i'm the slowest of the slowest.

I'll probably be there too.

It's ok as a beginners circuit cos it's easy to learn. The left hander at the bottom of the hill is evil and catches some out because they're on the cold side of the tyre.

I once caught a naked woman in the men's showers there one evening in 2006. Me jumping in naked next to her gave her a bit of a shock, but she stayed and finished rinsing off before leaving.

Small version of brands really. Not been there for a few years. Did you enjoy Brands Monday?? As a guess its a yes as you want to try other circuits.

I LOVE lydden! when I do my next TD (will be my first for a number of years due to some rather serious health issues), it'll be the one I do, simply because it's short and easy to learn again, is great fun and so suitable for the sv. I think it's also an absolute hoot and it soooooo suits the sv with not having any long straights, however I reckon that ktm will also be an absolutely cracking ride on that track!

Remember that guy too. I think he was an ex stock racing champ. Anyways properly showed the difference between fast track day riders and some who really knows what they're doing :-)
