Loose drive chain; 'clunk' noise?
Hi all,
If my chain was to loose is it possible that it could make a clonky sort of a noise on pull away??? I ask as I need to adjust mine but just haven't had a chance yet its not dangerously loose but is loose and noticed yesterday a clonky sound as I pull away from a standstill the bike is riding fine with no vibrations or anything nasty just this noise is almost sounds like the chain could be slapping the cover is this possible... |
Re: If my chain....
Yes.
Does it make the clonky noise when you chop the throttle and decelerate too? What is dangerously loose? It doesn't take long to adjust the chain. |

Re: If my chain....
Adjust it and do it before you ride anywhere. Its a nick as well as dangerous to ride with a flapping chain.
