Re: Fun Route to Cardiff
He He I just did that in reverse on Sunday!
Have a do at this... Come into Wales via Mold to Ruthin, take B5105 to Cerrigydrudion, B4501 to Bala, B4391 to LLanfyllin where the road becomes A490, Turn right onto A495 at T-junction, follow to traffic light controlled bridge and take second right onto B4389, turn right onto A458 to LLanfair Caereinion, turn left over bridge and take B4389 again for New Mills (be careful to follow signs in the village, it is not obvious). At New Mills, turn right to stay on B4389 to Tregynnon and turn left to stay on B4389 as you leave Tregynnon for Bettws Cedewain, then a further 2 miles on turn right onto B4568 for Newtown. In Newtown pick up the A483 for Crossgates and LLandrindod Wells. Stay on A483 to Builth Wells. The A483 rocks! See this link... http://goo.gl/maps/lfli0 After Builth you are kind of on your own, I used the A470 from Cardiff but that is because I don't know any better roads. There are definitely better roads to Cardiff so perhaps a post in South West Surfers section will reveal a good route from there to Cardiff off the South Wales boys. |
