2 Valuable lessons learnt today!

1. Never put the bike away whilst wearing shorts!
2. Just because you usually take a bend at 60+ in the car does not mean you can do it on the bike!

Nursing a nasty burn on my leg off the exhaust which would have meant nothing if I had drifted any closer to the car I just narrowly missed, got away with a shake of my head cursing under my breath and an apologetic wave to the car driver!

Sounds like you may have got a bit of target fixation there. Concentrate on the corner more next time ;)

I know exactly how you feel about the burnt leg thing, I did exactly the same thing. Was loading the bike into the van for the Annual Run, leg looked like this almost instantly

I kind of had my leg wedged between the bike and the racking in the van

What kind of car are you driving?
My experience is the opposite, I can easily take corners on the bike much faster than in my car.
