BMW
Went to a local event on Saturday and saw this in the car park as I was leaving.
I do like the unfinished look of bare aluminium, as per the English Electric Lightnings. Anyway, no idea what model it is or the value thereof but thought others may enjoy it. http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...ECFC1B3B6D.jpg http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...ECF39704AC.jpg http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/...ECEADA5102.jpg |
Re: BMW
Looks like a converted 503! Worth a bit of wonder I suppose

Re: BMW
A quick google and it is a Fraser Nash BMW,
From wikipedia "Frazer Nash was a British sports car manufacturer and engineering company founded by Archibald Frazer-Nash in 1922. It produced sports cars incorporating a unique multi-chain transmission before the Second World War and also imported BMW cars to the UK. After the war it continued producing sports cars with conventional transmission until 1957. It also continued selling BMW cars and motorcycles and finally in 1956 became the official importer of Porsche cars." Found this info on this car, "The Frazer Nash – BMW 315/1 manufactured in 1936 and driven by Oliver Penney. The engine is a 1490cc, the car was shown at the 1935 Motor show." |

Great find - thanks for the info. Good to see that it is something special rather than something that just looks special... :-)
