staying cool

so obviously this heat is so nice but just too much when riding, especially in full gear, so my question is what is everyone doing to keep cool while riding? the normal open your visor just doesn't cut it anymore so im trying to get other ideas apart from riding round naked!!

Base layers that wick sweat away from the body help a little. You're still hot but not so uncomfortable compared to without. Very thin compression fit stuff like under armour heat gear or similar.

Visor 2 clicks open, jacket half undone, kevlar jeans, cuffs wide open on my jacket, prison haircut, plenty of fluids and still boiling! Also if you're a lard ****, that won't help! :p

Re: staying cool

That can only be remedied by going as fast as humanly possible in 6th gear. :D

Everytime i see somebody in shorts or flip flops, it hurts me just thinking how much it would hurt if they fall at 10 mph...

Full black 2 peice leathers, visor down because I can't afford any sunglasses and stuck in traffic. Lost 10lbs in the past fortnight and feel much better for it, well apart from trying to get the leathers off each evening :smt092

Normally I just unzip the top of my jacket for a bit to get some air to circulate around.

That said, on a short (and low speed) journey I have been known to wear shorts with leg/knee armour over it - giving the cooling + protection.
Would never do it during a commute / hoon around / long ride though.
