A31 Winchester - Alresford - fresh chippings

Hi

Beware if you're planning to ride around the Winchester section of the A31 as they've just lobbed a fresh layer of chippings on it.....

This is the bit of road from the Spitfire Link Roundabout, up to the Percy Hobbs Roundabout and then on towards New Alresford.

You end up on this road if you come from Loomies towards Winchester down the A272.

This section of road will also be completely ####ed the weekend after next 8th -11th August as it's the Boomtown festival - the traffic queues for this event last year were horrendous.

should be better this year unless they open the wrong gates again

Found myself on that stretch of road earlier. Bike was squirming around all over the place.
