I was there!! A 250 round trip. Stands were empty grounds were pretty empty. Weather was "British summer"

Not much else going on at the venue.

I'd forgotten it was on, flicked over the channels and saw the WSB at Silverstone, and couldn't believe it was live. I'm down near Dover and haven't seen a cloud all afternoon! Great racing though, especially the SS race!

I was there too and most of the grandstands were empty
Not many traders or entertainment
No wheelie machine and only BMW as a manufacturer displaying bikes in the open area
Still had to queue though to get out
Good days racing though

Very true. Sofuoglu is a dirty rider though! I'm amazed he didn't get any sort of penalty for that? Qudos to Lowes though, especially his post race interview. Very diplomatic.
Didn't Sofuoglu purposely ram someone at about 160MPH last year with no penalty??

Re: Silverstone WSB

I wouldn't call him dirty, it was a harsh move but I've done and received worse, as has Lowes and he's smart enough to know that making an issue of it is bad for the sport. These riders are at the very top of their game and they all know the risks, and they also all know that if you go for moves like that you are just as likely to come off yourself. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, next time Sam won't leave such an inviting gap...... and if Sofuoglu does we all know exactly what's going to happen!

heh heh, I'm not sure there was a gap was there? It was a 90 deg left hander and he was pretty much at the apex when he got slammed.

edit... actually having watched it back just now it was fair game. Sofu made it to the apex first.
