Engine for a K6

I recently bought a K6 which chewed its gearbox up.

Devastated

I'm now looking for a replacement engine, which runs well, as opposed to stripping the entire thing down to get to the gearbox. If anyone has one going for under £300, I would love them forever.

Its a 2006 SV650s fuel injected

Can't help with an engine.. but do have a complete gearbox. Finding a good motor for under £300 won't be easy. Only want £50 for the gear box and have a complete motor in spares so if you need anything else cheap its all there.

Hi mate.

This is the thing, I have no where, plus inadequate tools, to strip the engine to get at the gearbox. Bloody vertical split engine means that its a nightmare to get to, and I don't trust my limited capabilities to do the job.

This is why I thought a new engine would be the best bet.

I just missed out on one for £225 minus a clutch on ebay, so i'm hoping another gem will find its way to me.

but thank you very much for the offer on the gearbox

No worries... keep in touch if you need any bits and could possibly be interested in your motor if you get sorted.
