and the rest of the bike, custom colour

I would say black engine, but you have a silver frame.... so you would need to the the lot...

there is so much you could do, 996 fairing & headlight, upside down front forks, zx rear shock, go larger on the rear tyre, different rear end fairing, i like the new gsxr rear :)

full stainless exhaust system, something like yoshi or laser twins ?

depends how much you want to spend... and how long you intend to keep her for...

Asking what other people have done to make your bike unique... :D

It's your bike, as discussed elsewhere, money spent on suspension will have a positive effect on how the bike feels. If you want it to look different, the paint job is the best place to go but it's money that you won't see back if you sell the bike. The more "unique" the bike, the smaller the number of potential buyers. Please don't let this put you off, it's your bike, you should have it look the way you want. But do be aware that if you spray it bright orange with an airbrushed naked woman across the tank & seat unit, it's not going to appeal to everyone ;)

i know not to go over the top and i love the bike so much i have every intention of keeping it until the day it dies, think i will go round a few spray shops and get quotes

Worth a thought:
It may be worth picking up an alternative fairing, tank & plastics if yours are in good condition, then you can return it to standard easily. Shouldn't be too hard especially as the colour and cosmetic condition of the components won't be important?

Re: bike needs to be unique

on ebay you can get a complete replacement set of fairings really cheap, use this for the respray and keep the OEM to put back on (if and when you sell)

£250 for the lot I think I saw... or get some used OEM odd colours mix and match and get those sprayed...

either way, good idea to keep OEMs
