One-off loss of power - K5.
This morning I was on my way to work & pulled up at some traffic lights after about 15 miles. For some reason the bike stalled as I was about to pull away. It restarted fine and I thought nothing more about it but a mile later the engine died. Electrics were fine, it was just as if the bike was running out of petrol (as a matter of fact, it took me back to the days when petrol tanks had reserve switches which you had to turn onto reserve, it was just like that!) As I slowed down I pulled the clutch in & let it out to see if the bike would re-start, but no. However, as soon as the bike had stopped I hit the starter & the bike fired up no problems. It was fine the rest of the way to work & all the way home. I'd only filled up at the start of my journey & the oil temp was about 93 when this happened. The bike's a K5. Nothing like this has happened before so I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts? I don't think it was the kill switch, as I didn't change it before restarting.

check your fuel line isn't getting squeezed by the tank

K5 - completely standard 650?
To be clear did it die while riding or at a standstill at the lights? Jambo |
