Org Plumbers
I got into an argument tonight (quelle surprise)
I used the generic term plod and was rebuked that it was offensive. My retort being most plumbers would rather be reffered to by a quaint old fashioned name that harked back to a time when the public was able to ask of a plumber directions and the time of day. Rather than the more unsavory names used today. Much rather George Dixon than pc Savage. Still I get the distinct impression that the offended lady was in fact a plastic plod. and by definition devoid of any semblance of intellect. |
Re: Org Plumbers
In any argument, anything you say will be seen as offensive by the other person.
Especially the way you say it Tim! No one in their right mind would be bothered by Plod. Pete ;) |

The last "C" on the list there made me laugh. Particularly the explanation.

Re: Org Plumbers
I've been called much worse, and usually quite deservedly.... Oh course there are those that might balance that against what the individual had been doing to warrant me treating them like that in the first place.....
