Why are you stunned they paid out? I'm a little surprised that they didn't think of it. They are also saying its only a problem for 2-3 weeks. But it will be a problem for 2-3 weeks every year.

It's a bit like the designers of the millennium bridge had never heard of the test for a new bridge of marching a company of the Royal Engineers across it in step.

Nothing now, but when it was first open the motion of lots of people walking on it caused it to oscillate. These oscillations became quite alarming as resonant frequency of the bridge was very pronounced and about walking pace.

It's not just the jag its effecting, the buildings melted quite a lot of stuff and continuing to do so.
