Has anybody tried using 120/70 to replace the original,Have one in the garage that would match the Conti on the back?

A lot of people do it. It makes for a very quick turn in.

Initial assumption is that it would be an SV.

I fitted one recently. It makes for a slower turn in (and a tad more stability at speed) as the headstock now is marginally higher. Easily returned to standard geometry by dropping fork legs through yokes by 6mm. On conti-motions.

PS - looks better too...fits the mudguard better :-)

A taller tyre making for a slower turn in? That doesn't make sense. It may be true I haven't tried it myself but thinking about it, it makes more sense for a taller tyre to turn in sharply. If, for example you were to put a 120/50 on, it would more than likely turn in much slower, even lazy, but be very stable at high mid-corner speeds.

Fitted a conti to my curvie .It was fine,
Diid it turn better ,Well yes .
It was more rounded than the one I replaced that was worn on the edge's.

Was offered one last week for my curvy as it was the only size available in a pilot road 3, decided against it for no reason really just thought the mudguard would or could be an issue and so preferred to fit like for like.

Plus wasn't in a rush and was happy to wait.

I've got one - fits the mudguard fine but if you've got an extended bit it will probably have to come off.

The turn-in felt alarmingly quick at first but you soon get used to it like anything else and I think it provides a bit better front-end grip on the limit.
