Front end conversion
Thinking of converting my points front end with a streetfighter end, how easy is it to change the lamps over?
|
Re: Front end conversion
plenty info on here and svrider about it. not as easy to do as you would think.

Re: Front end conversion
I wouldn't say it was that hard, but I guess it depends on what you start with and what you want to fit. Have you a naked or faired model, are you planning on changing the forks?

Re: Front end conversion
I have a faired model, was thinking of taking the fairings off, leaving the belly pan on, putting the twin lamps on the current forks and keeping the current gauges but putting on a short screen, like a street triple.
I don't know how hard it would be to fit the new lights or if it would leave it looking messy with excess wires etc... |
Re: Front end conversion
So you'll need to change the handlebars as well then, and don't forget the clock will need some form of mounting bracket making.
Mine started life as a faired S model, but I changed the forks as well and the enduro style headlights I've got are pretty much for daytime show, you seriously wouldn't want to ride anywhere at night with them! http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF0937.jpg |

Mine already has a set of straight renthals on it which I was going to keep, I was under the impression that Orem do a mounting bracket and backing plate for the clock. Was thinking either of these 2.
