Recommend a ratchet spanner set

so been looking around for a good set of racket spanners for my dad. Dont know why he wants them, but my dad likes tools. found a few but after reviews cheap is not a good plan so for a set from 8-18 ish would be good.

wera joker spanners top of the list atm but at are there any cheaper sets you would recommend?

what are your thoughts on wera tools and the joka spanners?

You want spanners that make a lot of NOISE ???

Only joka'ing ' Boom Tish '

Got craftsman from america and halfords set, both have been very good and no problems, just gotta be careful how much you force you put thru' the ratchet. The swivel head on the Halfords set is quite useful for getting to those awkward ones.

yes i meant to put ratchet spanners my bad.
Yeah a few people have mentioned the halfords sets are good. other ones are snap on ones, going to look at machine mart and screwfix. now its a matter of quailty against price.

Agree with Nteck. Yes they will be expensive, but they will last a life time & more.
If you want something cheaper but still good quality look at Kamasa & Bluepoint as well.

It's been a few years. (10+) but my 8 to 19mm were roughly £200. So. £20 a year is worth avoided smashed knuckles.

Draper do an expert range that includes up to 32mm socket and spark plug sockets!!! Ideal for wheel removal and obviously spark plug removal!! Cost under £50 from amazon delivered. I had to replace it a few years back due to getting stolen but have had no probs with it for the past 10 + years. Here's it is on eBay but looks like it's gone up in price a bit. Item no. 130611381573
