New Year resolutions

Anyone making any for 2014 - and looking back, did you achieve last year's?

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.p...ear+resolution

Now mine were as follows:

Lose a stone in weight without having to resort to chopping off a leg - well I've been living on chocolate and wine over Christmas without putting on any weight so that'll do, and I'm still well under 9 stone.

Fit engine bars and new screen to GS before 7th Jan. Maybe get a Beowulf can too. - Done!

Sort out the SV so new fork oil and springs, braided hoses, fit tail tidy and hugger. Then start riding it again. - That didn't happen, bike is still in garage and my reason for not riding it in the first place, a kn@ckered heel, is still causing me problems so I've booked in for more surgery so this one is carried over to 2014.

Get up to date with college homework. Get one portfolio done by April. - Er, nope!

WORLD DOMINATION! Starting with Guildford and the surrounding area. I came, I conquered. OK I came, I puked a lot, I drove home wearing my pajamas inside out. It's a start.

So in 2014:

Ride 500 miles in January regardless of the weather*

Organise a Soho Christmas party in February

Maybe do some college homework

Take up pole dancing and knitting**

*did I mention I'm off to Thailand in January so riding will be warm, fun and the day will end with a cold beer and playing pool against the ladyboys!

**about as achievable as any other resolution I ever make! ;)

My new years resolutions are...

Stop being a registered charity and start earning some money for my efforts.
Get organised, work and at home.
Get better at clay pigeon shooting, with lessons and practice.
More camping weekends.
Get as many people as possible into trail riding.

Most importantly, try not to let the things people (people I know that is) do annoy me.

Not so much as resolutions but more like targets

1. Lose the beer but before our holiday in April, did really well last year but then fell back into old habits
2. Get to the gym at least 3 times a week, again did well until my gym buddy moved away
3. Get out on the bike more, now the SV is running finally sorted with its issues from 2013
4. Get my gas safe cert done, already started the studying for this

Re: New Year resolutions

Build up the muscles in my arms due to seven months of pain in my elbows, and shoulders. This will be difficult, as lifting or over repetitive actions makes my arms collapse from tennis elbow in both. I am still randomly dropping the kettle and can't carry shopping.

In conjunction, lose the weight I've put on in those seven months. I'm now hitting 11 stone, I'm usually 10. :'(

After building fitness, do the planned Euro tour via Italy to Delphi and Meteora in Greece.

Keep my fingers crossed Peggylegs leg doesn't come undone any further, so we can do the above.
