Mallory Park - 12th April 2014

Booked up for Mallory Park for Saturday 12th April 2014.

No Limits:

Also available via trackdays.co.uk:
http://www.trackdays.co.uk/book/biketrackday/7619/

£99 & 98dB.

Lovely circuit which came very close to closing last year after the management company went bust. Main point to note here is the noise limit of 98dB, as one of the contributing factors to last year's dramas were noise limits being breeched I'd make sure the bike's not likely to bust the limit while the new owners are making peace with the locals.

Money back if it rains*

*Money back available via Barings bank, at all good Woolworth and Tandy high street stores. Maybe.

Yes.

But you knew that already.

Do you know if the fuel end can would get through the 98 db test.

Thanks

I would want to make sure you at least had a baffle in.

I've been hunting for some clear answers but I'm not getting many. You can use an (A biased) dB meter to check. Most circuits will test a bike for free if you turn up on any car or bike track day so if there's a circuit close to you you can give them a call and maybe pop by to get tested ahead of the event.

I'd say a can which hasn't had all the packing blown out of it and has a baffle should be fine, but if in any doubt see if you can get it checked out. If you have the standard exhaust to re-fit then you know you're sorted.

Cheers mate, not sure if the baffle is in. I know that sounds odd but I brought the bike with this can on and you can see a lump sticking up at the end of the can which doesn't look like it been touch but. There is no baffle that I an see, the previous owner said he didn't take the baffle out but I don't think it's got one. May need to hunt around for a cheap road legal can

I'd rather get out on wets and make the most of it than watch 200 quid's worth of van hire, B&B and travel costs go down the toilet.

Davt is, I suspect referencing that after not turning up to a single track day last year that didn't have some rain I picked up some wets. Thus guaranteeing it'll never rain again to make sure the investment was a complete waste of time and money.

Damn right if we turn up we're going out!

I've been carting a set of lucky wets to every trackday for the last year, on the same basis - if I have them, I won't need them. The investment paid dividends every time I got a dry day.

Then I needed them. God I love wets.

Right. Off to Cadwell. Playtime tomorrow.
