Where do you buy parts from?
Hey lovely people.
Where do you generally buy things for a service? Things like oil filters and the 'washer thing' for the oil drain screw. (I'm sure you can tell I know all the technical terms) There is a Suzuki shop in Daventry called BikersWorld, but wasn't sure if I'd get ripped off going to a main garage/dealer!? Is there somewhere better online? Thanks in advance |
Re: Where do you buy from?
I usually get oil filters and washers from my local bike shop and oil from Halfords. You can get everything on-line of course but I like the immediate take-home effect from buying in shops. If you want to get a feel for general prices - use Google!

Re: Where do you buy from?
I use ebay for most bits and bobs, or here for parts that crop up :-D
Always try to get my cables from Venhill.co.uk (love the featherlight clutch cables) Everything else, halfords or wheels in Peterborough |
Re: Where do you buy from?
Bikers world in daventry is a good shop just stay away from the one in coleshill, it's a much bigger shop but I have my doubts they know what a bike is. But that's just my opinion

A mix of local dealers, Halfords and a selection of about 4 websites.

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/suzuki/sv_650 are very good, decent prices, good stock and fast delivery. Would recommend.

Re: Where do you buy from?
If you are able to take delivery at home (not everybody is in during the day) then it's so much easier to buy consumables over the Internet, even oil. I still like to stick my head in the local bike shop every now and then just so I can kid myself I'm helping keep them afloat but a few clicks on the mouse whilst sat here in the evening is just so much simpler for the everyday items.
