Sell it or break it?
I have a 1999 blue curvy that im at my wits end with. Has a fuelling issue that i cant seem to sort and am considering just getting rid of it and moving on. Question is do i sell it as a complete bike or break it as it has some decent parts on it that have way more life left in them yet.
Things include Full stainless ixil racing exhaust Goodridge braided break lines Hagon rear shock Rear hugger in decent fettle Brand new set of michelin PR3's that have just been scrubbed in on a decent pair of wheels. If i was selling the whole bike id put it up for £500. Anyone think that would be a reasonable price? |
Re: Sell it or break it?
With those extras I'd break it, I'd say you'd get more than £500

Re: Sell it or break it?
How many miles on it, engine alone would sell for a big chunk of that.

Re: Sell it or break it?
What they said, as a non runner it's worth £500-£600, sold as spares £1000+ however there's the work involved in breaking and posting and packing...

I was in a similar boat to you a while ago, except that something major had gone within my engine. Despite that I could have likely taken about £900 if I split it for parts, but I had somebody offer me £550 upfront for the bike as a whole. Personally I decided that I couldn't be bothered with even more hassle from that bike and that I didn't want to have to go through all of the effort of breaking it down, listing each thing individually, haggling on prices for everything, and dealing with lots of different buyers, and so I was more than happy to take the lower price just to get it out of my garage and off my hands. |

I wouldn't have thought you would have may big bits of SV left. Are curvy frames not any use in MiniTwins, especially those with log books?
