So, my SV has been in hospital since September and she's just been discharged. Is there any reason for the tyres to be slippery to the point of backing in to every turn and kicking the tail out on the way out of every turn?? It's rather unnerving.

It's possible they're slightly over inflated... I'm fat so I usually put a touch more in. I've got 38 front and back. I did it at a garage air pump after 1.5miles to get there.

Drop the front to 33 and the rear to 36.Then go for a long ride to get everything warmed up and see if it is any better.Dont do it today in the p1ssing rain though.Is the rear shock still working?If it is the original it might be past its sell by date.How about the fork oil?Ever changed it?That can make a big difference for very little money.

Suspension works. I must stress "I'm a fat bloke" 33/36 would be like anyone else having like 25/27.

your fat ass does not matter to an extent with tyre pressures. stick them at OEM or 1 PSI more and check cold
