Fake Police Bikers

Hello all.

I have seen recently when out an about that some riders think is the best idea ever to dress like police bikers. Black boots, black trousers, high viz jacket and white helmet (Usually with some Bluetooth device on the side). Normally riding in a bolt upright position on some kind of touring bike. All they seem to do is drive about 10mph under the speed limit and make all bikes/cars slam on the anchors when they are seen and generally cause tailbacks or at the other end of the scale ride at silly speeds and scare road users into thinking they are police.

This annoys me greatly and I really do not see the point. :smt011

What do you all think?

Every country / region / occupation / hobby has its share of 'planks' (swear filter friendly but not the first word that came to mind). These lot are just our fair share.

Hmm... that probably describes just about all the IAM riders :smt043

(well, my local IAM group got in trouble with the national organisation for the speed on their rideouts :), so not exactly 10mph under the limt )

you could say the same for the opposite, bikers hanging off the side of their bike trying to emulate their favourite gp rider, annoying the general public with loud exhausts, speeding everywhere etc. etc.

people are like liquorice made by bassetts, there are all sorts.

I suppose Lance is right. I mean what really annoys me is people who are desperate to show everyone that the can get their knee down ;-)

You should stop one of these "police" bikers and ask them for directions to somewhere they wont have heard of.Then start to discuss the Winsor report and events at the federation.They will soon get bored of it all.
