650/1000 compatibility question

So I have a k5 650N that I have lots of spares for. I've converted it to a full 'S' and back again just because I wanted to feel the position difference and I'm just a fiddler.

I'm looking to upgrade to an SV1000 and wondered if the non engine parts are the same as a 650? I know the forks shock and breaks are different but what about bodywork, subframes and the like?

I'm especially interested in knowing if the top yokes are interchangeable between the two.

I'm planning on keeping the 650 as more of a fun bike (clip on's but naked and no pillion stuffs, maybe a fork conversion) and having the 1k as a commute/touring bike (full fairing, 'n' top yoke/bars, touring screen and full racks/hard luggage). Everyone who's in the know says they are very different bikes so I hope this is playing to each ones strengths while keeping some interchangeability between them both.

Thanks.

Re: 650/1000 compatibility question

ok it rather simple when it comes to compatability from 650 to thou

all body work including rear sub frame swaps over (minus lowers/bellypan)
pegs/hangers and foot levers too
front brake lever, throttle assembly and indicator assembly go across
clocks inc bracket do
don't know about the ignition unit but everything else doesn't
notable mentions too clutch lever (hydraulic not cable) and zausts different pattern even for aftermarket
none of the yoke parts cross over
