'02 Carb rear centre trim/panel colour?
 

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if anybody knows the colour code for the metallic black centre rear trim on a naked carbed Yellow '02.

I recently bought a (very nice, possibly genuine) seat cowl, which turns out is the wrong shade of yellow! Whether my bike has faded in the sun, or they made more than one type of yellow, I don't know?

I would like to paint it to match the black trim, as I believe it would look pretty smart!

Any help will be appreciated as always!

They did do 2 types of yellow. If you look at the main site www.sv650.org there's an FAQ for what changes in the first years.

I think Yellow was offered in 99/X 01/k1 & 02/K2, with the 02/K2 being the lighter yellow colour.

Not sure the paint code for the plastic centre section at the back's come up much as the part itself isn't that dear, but that's not why you're after the code of course...

Edit: I believe the code for your yellow should be under the tank in case you have a late registered K1 in 2002 for instance...

Thanks for your help Jambo, I thought that might be the case!

After some research, the colour code for the panel is Y7L, or saturn black! The same black the K2 came in.
