How to win friends and influence people's attitudes to the police. not

Interesting choice of speed camera van location.
But then civilian not police.
But then the police don't do themselves any favours in a follow up visit

Obviously a really dangerous straight clear road. Not sure he was making it safer by parking the revenue raising van there though.
To be honest, I'd prefer the police to be doing there job instead of operation of scamera vans, but it looks like south Wales Police has solved all the crime if they have the time to follow up somebody legally filming in public.

He's not right about much apart from the police officer not being supposed to have her foot in his house without permission.

No idea why she didn't just remove it and explain the situation calmly.

Because they hadn't prepared themselves before hand in looking up the appropriate legislation as to how a civilian is allowed to operate one of them vans.

Also the scamera van operator should also know what legal powers he has to operate the van.

3 numpties in my book including Mr Angry Welshman

I suppose you could look at it like that but very few people know chapter and verse of the legislation that applies to their job. They just know they're allowed.

That said, if I'd been the camera man I'd have said. I'm here doing what I'm doing because this is what my boss told me to do, here's the number for the office, feel free to either call them or the police.

In my line of work, I know the legislation that empowers me to do what I'm legally allowed to do, but a lot of folk don't.

You're right I'd give him my bosses number instead of hiding under my fleece.

Did he think he was Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the Rings and Mr Camera Man wouldn't be able to see him!

One thing, I'd complain about the vans actual location, it's on a narrow road, it's probably causing more of a problem than mild speeding.

I wonder how much of this goes on that we don't get to hear about? Civvies in these vans, it's not on.

I know in my case its the new roads and street works act 1994 but I couldn't give you chapter and verse of the legislation.
