Proof: http://i.imgur.com/Co16ZJm.jpg Didn't say it was sold. Off topic usually when you are looking to win an auction on a bike you don't wait till the auctions finished to ask questions like "what mpg are you getting?" "Oh that's no a lot." "I can hear rattling from the video you sent" Like I said in the messages between us, it seemed like you were looking for a way out of the auction from the start. I'm not sure what other people are like, but if I'm looking to win an auction that ends on a Friday usually I'd want to pick up said item that weekend. Pete PS Its still for sale if you're interested? Slightly higher though as I've had to cover ebay costs and auto trader costs. :smt022 |

Re: K6 Sv650 for sale
Either way, once the item's auctioned and bids placed it should be binding on both parties. Personally I can't abide sellers who stick and item on Ebay but have it also advertised elsewhere.

Re: K6 Sv650 for sale
I dont think the seller has done anything wrong here. Going by the texts shown. Seems to me that emankiwi is not a serious buyer and probably one of the numerous messers you get on the bay.
Word of advice, advertise it on the bay as a classified ad, ask for a deposit and you get more serious buyers interested. Not the tyre kickers. |

Re: K6 Sv650 for sale
I guess we'll never know the whole story, from both side. It does appear as if the seller was offering the bike for sale independently as well as running the Ebay auction. It even looks as if he was getting ready to back out of the Ebay sale after the auction had ended - but since we don't know how long he'd been waiting for payment, it's conceivable this was justified. I doubt it however - he claims he "forgot" it was advertised elsewhere, not "I've been waiting so long I've had to look elsewhere"

Re: K6 Sv650 for sale
I did genuinely have a local guy only coming to VIEW the bike. I told the winning bidder this basically to kick him up the **** regarding collection/payment. It had been a week before the auction was finally cancelled as per the winners request. The longest week ever with texts back and forth regarding the colour of the oil and how the exhaust smells on a warm day in June.
How long do you have to sit around waiting for payment before you can offer it elsewhere? You live and learn I guess. |
