Back on two wheels

Well after a massive break in biking because of buying a house and having a kid after 2 1/2 years seeing people out on their bikes I caved in again and got myself a bike.

Only rode it the 4 miles home so far and it needed massive attention to the suspension as the previous owner was very short so had wound the preload so far down on the rear the bike handled terribly. It also needs the steering bearings replaced too as they are notchy as hell.

This is it:

Probably not going to be able to go on the day long rides I used to do before the wee man turned up and finding time between being away with work but still up for getting out and about and most likely the odd trackday.

Would be...if it bloody worked!!
Went to go out today for an hour or so and it struggled to start and the instrument cluster was flashing on and off. Metered the battery at 10v! Dammit. Bump started it and the charging system stayed at 10v. So not charging. Ordered a new alternator hopefully that'll be the cause.

I have a feeling the previous owners charged the battery when I saw it and for when I picked it up knowing there was this issue but failed to mention it.

When I was looking for my first big bike I was told to avoid Triumphs as they spend more time being repaired/worked than ridden. Which is why I got the SV.
