YBR 125 won't start
 

My missus' YBR has been sat for a while, and went to try starting it, but pretty dead.

It turns over on the kickstart, and i've tried kickstarting it whilst jumping it from my bike, but to no avail. I've check the air filter, which was fine, and drained and replaced the fuel with spanking new and fuel is certainly getting as far as the carb.

I've changed the spark plug and checked I am getting a spark, though perhaps could be stronger.

Compression seemed ok, was enough to push my finger off the spark plug hole turning it over on the kickstart. I am getting strong puffs of air out the exhaust when turning it over.

I am not quite sure what my next move should be, any advice?

give the float bowl a tap with something, the float is probably stuck in the up position

gave it a tap, no change. so took the carb off to have a look. It was spotless inside, jets were find and floats moved freely. Hooked it all back up, including a hose I hadn't notice wasn't on when taking it off. Started right up.

It is now running funny (won't run with the choke in) so will need to get that sorted, but I can at least get it to my garage.
