New (to me) SV 650s - K8 to a K3

Last weekend I picked up my new bike (K3 650s) from a member on here (Pheasant Hunter) who had originally bought the bike from another member (Muffles) so its a 3rd generation org bike :D

Currently still riding my K8 650 until tomorrow when the new one goes in for its MOT but, couple of questions:

New bike has a full Akrapovic system, if I fit my K&N filter - will this then make it run lean and harm the engine or shall I just fit a new standard filter?

Fuel light - my K8 flashes until very low on fuel & then the light goes solid. On the K3, fuel light is solid from the off, does it flash when it gets very low or just stay solid?

New bike came with some fully synth oil which had just been opened but is dated 2007, I dropped out the old oil and poured in the fully synth thinking its been in the ground for millions of years so being sat in a garage for a few years wont hurt but now I've read that I should have shaken it to 'mix the additives' - I'll only be doing 100 miles on this before changing the oil & filter anyway, be ok just for this?

Anybody know if I can fit the rearsets from a later SV to a K3? Much prefer the rearsets on my later one, the gear shifter is straight & doesnt have the bend in it.

The seat on my K8 is much more comfy!

Thanks

The K3 fuel light doesn't flash. It might come on then go off for a bit if the fuel is sloshing about. But mostly just a solid light

Agree with Darren. When the light does go solid, I have around 25 miles to find a fuel stop. Mine is a naked k3.
