High mileage

Hi all.
Im mostly talking to the trumpet owners here but anyone can answer.

Ive been looking for a new bike since my sv went to the great bike cafe in the sky and donated its organs/body.
Yesterday i took out a Triumph Tiger 800 from a local dealer. Its a 2011 61 reg barely 4 years old 800cc abs model, but the only thing some people have mentioned to me is the milege on it is looking rather high at 33k.
I have to admit the bike is wonderfully looked after and has an arrow can, givi box, heated grips and crash bars. I know this doesnt force a sale here but these parts alone make for intersting specs.
Would you say about £4500 is a good price or is it too high given the 33k miles that its done?

Unfortunately i dont know the specifics such as service history or previous use only that it has 1 female owner.

Thanks all
Collis

Re: High mileage

I can't comment on prices but what I can say is I'm at 32,000 miles on the street and she's been fine and dandy up to now. She's going to get a suspension refresh over the winter and maybe the seat refreshed. The engine uses a little oil but if you check regularly there shouldn't be any issues, and I'm betting I'll have used the engine harder that someone on a traillie type bike. Get yourself a test ride and if you like it haggle.
