Insurance question
Having just passed my mod 2 I can't decide if it's worth me continuing my policy on my 125 as they want £65 to alter it to a full licence just for 3 remaining months when I may not even use it due to weather.
Would trading my 125 for an SV 650sand starting a new policy make more sense? |
Re: Insurance question
I realise I've discussed this in an earlier thread but just wanted more input

Re: Insurance question
What sort of quotes are you getting for the SV? I'll say one thing, IT'S A COMPLETE PITA having your bike insurance come up for renewal in December. It does me in every year.

Re: Insurance question
I wouldn't bother telling them for the sake of 3 months, they're a bunch of shysters for tricks like that.

Re: Insurance question
I can't remember exactly but it was less than on my 125. I will get a new quote now

Re: Insurance question
Just got a fresh quote from confused fully comp on a k8 social domestic and pleasure use with limited mileage for £107.23.
I think my yzf is £175 for similar useage. |
Re: Insurance question
It depends on the fact that you won't have the current years no claims if you cancel / get a new policy halfway through. However as discussed here before. If you sell the YZF make sure you cancel your policy straight away.
If it's crashed with no other cover you are still ****ed even not riding it. Have you found one you want to buy? If not take your time to get a good one. |
Re: Insurance question
Insurance is a right pain in the backside in this circumstance. Not found one yet that isn't a long way away but I've only really started looking seriously since Friday.

Re: Insurance question
Change bike/policy when the current one expires. That way you save all this hassle and get an extra years ncd.

Re: Insurance question
That's what I'm thinking but what if I get an sv in the meantime, can I just switch bikes on my policy easily?
