Replacement Side Stand

The end of my side stand fell off, so it's probably going to be easier to replace the whole stand. It works, but it's more difficult to put down.

Even before this, the bike (naked curvy x) sat lower than I expected - and much lower than the SFV. Do they all do that, or is more likely that my stand was damaged?

Is there any benefit to using a stand from a different year/model/bike?

Just had a look and I have a spare side stand off a k3 if that is of any use?
