sv650/sv1000 seat cowl infills (3d printed replacements)
Fellow sv owners,
A while ago I decided to ditch my grab rail from my bike for a cleaner look, but off course I didn't have those infills and they are still a pain to find. So with the help of MEngineer from svrider we designed new ones so that everybody can create their own in the future (link temporarily removed ). However I also decided to sell a limited batch of these to help everybody out. Right now 5 people are riding around with these plastics from the future ;) anyway. They are available for 20 euro's for everybody that is interested and come with all the mounting materials. https://i.imgsafe.org/cff9e58d17.jpg I hope it's allowed to sell these here. I'm in no way a professional trader and just sell this limited batch. the ebay ad is over here: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/291921680563?...84.m1558.l2649 Please feel free to ask questions. greetings from the Netherlands. |

I thought someone would do this sooner or later, great work. Unfortunately ive got a curvy, so yours won't do, but luckily i have the curvy infills.
Im sure some curvy owners would wish someone would do what you've done for poiny owners. |

Now all you need to do is a tool box cover!

I have a Curvy and would love to have some infills for mine... *Wink Wink* |
Re: sv650/sv1000 seat cowl infills (3d printed replacements)
I personally think spare part databases are the future. So much stuff gets thrown away/not used anymore, because the parts are impossible to find.
And with these models, people can even fix their sv in 50 years from now. ;) But meanwhile i've had more requests for the curvy infills lately than for the pointy haha. I don't even know how the curvy's look, but I would love to try creating one. Maybe someone in the Netherlands can lend me a set to copy. About the toolbox. I don't know who designed that stupid thing in the first place. let's put all your tools open for grabs...so yeah, my set got stolen. :p |
Re: sv650/sv1000 seat cowl infills (3d printed replacements)
Curvy's are even simpler than the pointies. I would offer mine up, but having lent stuff out before and never seen it again, i couldn't do it with these rarer than hens teeth items.
What we need is someone in the uk with a 3d scanner to scan them and send you the dimensions |

More parts for the sv should be available. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1483814 I designed these last year to fit some led blinkers. But more complicated models take some time. A few months ago I did a lot of stuff for a 1960's pinball machine. That was quite fun. (But it's still just a hobby for me. So everything takes a while haha) |
