Ncd question

Renewal time and I'm looking to shave a bit off my premium, when I first passed my test I was insured previously on my 125 but let that policy run out and started a new one on my sv as it was cheaper and easier. That was just over a year ago and I'm now thinking can I add that 1 year ncb to my current 1 year from riding my sv? Is it even worth the hassle for what may be a minimal saving

Re: Ncd question

ncd is only applied to full years and you must have proof which is usually your renewal letter.

I did let that policy run through but would need to contact mce for my ncb just not sure whether as I was on a cat it would count for much

Can't add them together unfortunately, you can try getting the proof of bonus from your old old insurer and give that to your old insurer and see if they'll rectify it but not sure if they will now

Probably not worth the bother then

Not strictly relevant but since the issue has been mentioned, if you dispose of a vehicle, sell it on or exchange etc, then you MUST inform your insurance company otherwise in the event of a claim by or against another person using the vehicle it could mean you become liable if your insurance for it is still "valid".

If of course you still own it but just stop using it for whatever reason then that's different.

Maybe maybe not, if you decide against doing. It to try and increase it, I'd day its still worth getting the proof of bonus from the he first lot as Ncd is valid for 2 years from the date of expiry so if you were to get a 2nd vehicle within that time you'd have a spare set to use 👍

Some insurance companies may even be able to use it on a car policy but you'd have to check with them to be sure

I assume you took out your current policy before the first one expired hence not getting the ncd added to it?If so I suspect you cant get it added now.
