Scottoiler and SV650AL7 questions

Hi all, has anyone fitted a Vsystem to the new model SV650 yet?
I've searched on here but didn't find anything and there doesn't seem to be a model specific guide for it on the Scottoiler website.

I was wondering if the main reservoir could fit under the seat beside the canister or if it would be better somewhere else.

Also, does anyone know why the Scottoiler compatibility chart shows the dual injector is not compatible with the new model SV650 AL7...?

Is it because the swingarm has a rounded top and bottom?

If so would it be possible for the dual injector to be fitted using a (home made) shaped piece of nylon or similar material to provide a flat surface?

Or is there some other reason why the dual injector won't work?

Just thinking ahead, am patiently waiting for next month....

i would guess the rounded swingarm is the reason for the dual injector, i think a better solution would be a suitable sized u clamp for fixing it on. wont look to pretty though.

fit the rez anywhere you like and the more upright the better. attaching it to the left hand side radiator hose would be a good idea as it would keep the oil warm and have easy access for filling. it would also be a short run to the vacuum.

i put a touring rez on my K7 behind the numberplate. only fill it one a year :-)

This is where the vsystem is fitted in my SV650a (2017).
The VSystem works through vacuum, no electronics needed.

Cheers for responses, according to the admin on Scottoiler's forum, as suspected the curve on the swingarm is the reason for incompatibility of their twin feed device.

The positioning in the picture looks good, nicely tucked out the way but still easily accessible. :)

I'm now leaning towards a Tutoro Auto, I think it looks a simpler solution.

Your bike should have the same swingarm as Gladius so you should be able to use the SFV650 fitting instructions. I have single sided injector fitted under the paddock stand bobbin on Gladius. If you really need the dual injector you could fit it the same way. I haven't ever seen the point of it as the single one works fine. The reservoir is under the seat, hidden and very easy to access. I'm not sure though whether SV would have space for it there.

Would it be possible to see some pictures of how/where you've fitted it on your Gladius? I have one I'm contemplating a ScottOiler for it

Read Sid Squid's opinions of the dual injector. Then fit a single one.
