new sv650s owner
Just passed my DAS course a few weeks ago and bought this bike as my first 'big bike' after starting out on a YBR 125 yamaha for a few months.
The bike is excellent to ride, very nimble and easy to get used to and glad i bought this as a stepping stone. Its absolutely bog standard and has just turned over 15,000 miles since new. Ive done 700 miles since i passed :bounce: no real plans for it other to keep it road worthy and get used to the roads before i (hope) to upgrade to a GSXR 600 next http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/...psziha2imp.jpg |

Re: new sv650s owner
Nice one, good choice
Once you have got used to the usable torque of the SV the GSX with its screaming engine may not be so inviting, especially if you spend most of the time on urban roads. Two of my brothers have CB600 Hondas and one has VFR750 Honda, and they are all amazed how quick and easy to ride my SV650 AL7 is. Top speed is pretty academic on todays crowded UK roads, and I never by choice ride in the rain, that's why I chose naked AL7, its a lovely bike - gets a bit windy over 80mph but steady as a rock even on our local bumpy roads. |

Re: new sv650s owner
Thanks guys.
Plans are to keep the Sv and get a 600 as well as I have enough space in my garage. Really enjoying the Sv at the moment. |
Re: new sv650s owner
Nice first SV, I've just downsized from 2014 Bonneville to 2005 SV650s and I'm loving it !
