Centre stand on SV
Anyone had experience of fitting or trying to fit a centre stand to an SV, specifically an L7. I assume someone, somewhere produces such a thing. I miss having a centre stand so much, one of my few gripes about my AL7.

Re: Centre stand on SV
I know for my Curvy they are expensive and apparently a right Royal Pain to fit.
I ended up going for a Front lifter to go with my Rear Paddock stand. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Pro...IAAOSwB9hZ4Nge Makes front wheel/Brake servicing a doddle :) |
Re: Centre stand on SV
The only manufacturer of centre stands I knew was SW-Motech and they haven't bothered with the AL7.

Re: Centre stand on SV
Thanks guys, I found SW-Motech website and dropped them an e-mail to see if they make anything, not holding my breath......

Re: Centre stand on SV
Just get a ABBA stand, if they don't make adaptors for the AL7 at the moment, they'll machine some up.

I received a reply from SW-Motech ( couldn't see one on their website but decided to check if they had plans to make one ) - just said they do not have anything suitable at the moment... |
Re: Centre stand on SV
I use an Abbastand on my AL7 and have recently bought the front wheel lift arm too. Taking the stand with you would be a nightmare, not really practicable.
There used to be an extending arm that, in conjunction with the sidestand, enabled the back wheel to be lifted. Here you go: the "Snapjack" : http://thesnapjack.com/ £53 approx on ebay |

Re: Centre stand on SV
There's a certain company in India which has come up with a brand new 650 model which has mudguards and a centrestand and a grabrail and a big comfy seat.....
