Lets move to Linux
ok i'll start by saying i have not messed with Linux since i was at UNI (BSc computer networking) and that experiance put me off it for a very long time along with MacOS but from what i have read Linux is mature enough to make the change.
i CBA with silly $ bashing to get the OS installed and i CBA hunting for drivers so with this in mind is there an OTB Linux distro that fits my bill.. i was thinking about Zorin. just want to stick a disc/key in and go. |
Re: Lets move to Linux
I have made a few stabs at various Linux systems over the last few years and I always give up. It's the business of finding drivers that I find frustrating. Linux is still for "enthusiasts" as far as I'm concerned.
I'll stick with W10 till support runs out, by which time there should be a few second hand machines about capable of running W11. |
Re: Lets move to Linux
I ran ubuntu on my old Toshiba Satellite when I didn't think it would run Win10 (it did). I was told xubuntu was better so I downloaded it but never got around to trying it.
Ubuntu worked ok but didn't like switching between wifi and wired ethernet, I only used it for browsing though. |
