Paramotoring
 

I watched a guy launch himself skyward on his paramotor this morning. He fiddled around with the rigging for a short while, adjusted the sail/wing/chute, revved the engine a couple of times as he was checking the ropes, to see if it was running cleanly, perhaps.

He took a few steps into the wind and the sail billowed up immediately, he throttled up and was away. It looked exhilarating but not sure I'd be brave enough to give it a shot - people say bikers are crazy but we don't have far to fall. I suppose even if the engine quits you're still attached to a parachute. Seems to be growing in popularity around here.
