Is the SV your first PTW?
Just curious to find out how many people jumped on the SV(S) as thier first PTW.
For me its my second, I bought an RS125 after my CBT, used for commuting and general tarting about for about 8 months but found the lack of power and the constant whine on motorways and longer rides to be frustrating. I had been eyeing up the SVS for a while and had intended to get one straight after DAS, but due to finances I had to wait, glad I did because of the reduced price deal. :) So Was your SV(S) your first PTW? What did you have as your first bike? |
PTW? Proper two wheeler? if so, then yeah. Would've stuck with my 125 for longer if it hadn't turned out to be a bag of sh**e, so i sped things up and got the SV. Seems to be a popular choice for it as well. (which is why there's so many nice used ones!)

Hey an ER5 ain't so bad, can chew off most cars, nice predictable handling, feels solid, very stable. I learned on one, thought about buying one, but then I saw a SV650S and well the rest is history (blue K3)

Ist "real" bike FSIE only 16 it was the old purple one unrestricted with pedals,
followed by BSA 175 Bantam slower than the FSIE Ariel Arrow supersports found in a friends garage and rebuilt, then to my sadness written off. Yamaha YDS7 great speed lousy brakes. Yamaha RD250LC Original pocket rocket failed test by nearly running over the tester during the emergecy stop. Honda CB100 for the mile and a half to work Honda 125 superdream for the 8 miles to waterloo 15 years off due to wife not liking motorbikes but as any life sentence was commuted and DAS passed in 2002. Suzuki Bandit 400 VV(grey imported one) great little bike for town riding SV650S in red unfortnatly nicked after being chained to the telegraph pole outside the house. SV650S in blue still in my possession and undergoing various changes. H |
