Respro Foggy
 

Has anyone used a Respro foggy? If so, how good or bad are they? It seems like a good system (in theory) but whats it like in the real world. Any advice would be great before I blow my money.

quite good in winter, never really needed it in summer though, but it does exactly what its meant to do

Yep I have one. Works very well. :thumbsup: There is a trick to getting your lid off with one fitted though. Otherwise the thing can turn inside out and scratch your face. While this can do wonders for your image as a ruffy tuffty biker type, it can get a bit much. With your visor open, pull it away from your face with your finger tips as you remove your lid.

Oh, and check you lid has a suitable lining for the velcro to attach to in the requisite positions. My mates 'Shark' lid didn't. :(

fog city visor insert is better than any face mask, unless you're trying to stop specs steaming up?

I dont know, I've seen the Photos section and would probably recommend a face mask for a few characters regardless of whether their on a bike or not!!! :lol:

I tried a fog city first and absolutely hated it!
It warped my vision a little and gave a halo effect to any light source - very nasty at night or in the rain. I could also see it in front of my eyes!
I know loads of people swear by them but I just didn't like it - horses for courese, I suppose.

I have a Foggy Respro Mask fitted to my Shoei XR900 and I find it works a treat. Having got used to it being there, I now don't like riding without it! :shock: It is worth pointing out that it is made of Neoprene & therfore makes you sweat. It then absorbs the sweat into the fabric cover. I've done about 8000 miles with it in, it's been washed already & it now needs another wash! :?
I also find that if I'm hot, my visor can still mist up, due to the heat coming from my head! :shock: So I also use Bob Heath visor spray when it starts to get colder outside! This works well as long as you don't put too much on & you do polish it out well... It doesn't like water though! Kinda turns a translucent, milky white colour! :shock: Very offputting, I can promise you! :shock: :wink: :wink: :lol:
