WheelPower in SW London
I'm sorry guys but after 2 and a half years of fun on my SV :D I'm thinking of getting a Z750.
The nearest kawasaki dealer to me is WheelPower in Raynes Park. They're not the best deal but am inclined to go with them cos' they're local. The things is I don't know anything about them. The set-up there looks ok but the salesman comes across unintersted and a bit of a plonker. So has anyone got any good/bad stories to tell ? Cheers Fadge PS is the z750 the right bike to go for ........ what do you reckon :?: |
Got my bike from them in May
Craig (salesman) was OK with me - seemed to know what he was talking about, and more importantly took me out for a test ride when nobody else was in the least bit interested in me, or could demonstrate any knowledge about the bike I was interested in. At a certain place in Carshalton I tried the line "What's the V mean in V-Twin", and got the reply "dunno" Don't think think they are any better/worse than other dealers - seem to know their stuff. Seem a bit expensive on servicing, but then aren't they all  |
Must have caught him on an off day I think.......it was a Friday avo' so maybe he just wanted to go home.
I was dissapointed with his offer for part exchange on my SV....only £1600 for a 2000 reg and only 11000 miles  Just spoke to Infinity in Farnborough and they're looking at giving £2000 for the SV and only £4700 for the Z750 (£100 less than wheelpower) :) .....but then again it is Infinity  :) |
Depends what you are after. Remember the Z750 is still a budget bike
so whilst it may be a bit quicker than the SV in a straight line, its not gonna handle like a supersports and probably not quite as well as the SV. Still, it is quite a bargain at the moment. :D |
yeah, I know what you mean, Steve H.
It's still a budget bike but I do most of my riding in town so can't really justify a sports bike :( plus I've no garage so insurance is way too much :( nearly double the Z for a GSXR-600 I love my SV but want try something else :? oh what to do ! :) |
Whatever you do, and i know this is obvious, but try before you buy!
I have had the urge to change the SV on occasions, but usually after a test ride (including supersports) i honestly find that for what i require, there really is no need for changing the SV. Good luck with your decision. |
I'm trying the Z750 this avo'. Will make a post on Monday to let you know what I think of it.
