Hi all,
I hope everybodies fit and well, can you believe it warships now have internet access, I hope the weathers been good for you all, out here it's 40oC everyday, still i'd rather be home clocking up the miles. This is still my favourite site, So ride careful and i'll be back mid December just in time for the crap weather, Best wishes Skez :o :o

Have "Fun"? I think you wouldn't have said that had anybody kicked your or your family's ass by bombing your house. Not my idea of fun matey, innocent people are DYING down there.

anyway, what ya doing down there? i was in basra for 5 months, got back 3 months ago. I wasnt on a war ship though, i was at the airport with the force protection company. woohoo.

we had internet too, although it worked about as often as a ducati starts up on a cold morning.
(er, so im told, ive never had one :? )

As a student in London in the mid 1980s Mrs SY3 knew an Iraqi, her name was Shatha, she was reading architecture at UCL. However - she (Shatha) was petrified because she had overstayed her leave to be out of Iraq, and the British Government wouldn't extend her visa, so she had to go back. One of her two brothers had been killed in the Iran/Iraq war, he was a doctor and was forced to fight. We used to send her Christmas cards etc but never got a reply, then it dawned on me that if she was being persecuted maybe we were simply making things worse.

I wonder what happened to her.
