Chase video of me...

No, this video didn't come from the cops.

I gave a guy on a CBR1000RR a guided tourer of the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive area and he brought his video camera along.

Much of the footage has been edited out, but there's still some decent roads that we were on in there. Not quite as good as the roads in southwestern Wisconsin, but still pretty good.

I wasn't tackling the roads at the pace I really wanted to, the guy on the CBR1000RR was brand new to these roads, so I was taking it easy on him.

The Kettle Moraine (state forest area) was really showing it's fall colors and was absolutely beautiful!

Enjoy:

oh yeah, it's around 57 megs so it may take a while.

So 136mph wasn't fast enough?

Great biking roads, wish ours were so empty. Enjoyed this a lot. Big big file - don't even try it if you'e on dial up!!!

Couldn't enjoy as the file seems to have disappeared.

I should hope not, seeing as your bike boots looked just like trainers, and your leathers looked just as if you were wearing normal trousers.

It'll be back up in 30 minutes from now.

Yes, I probably should be wearing full leathers when I ride, but the simple fact is I don't. I can't afford 'em right now. Some of you will say that I shouldn't ride as aggressively then, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it's a risk I'm willing to take to have some fun.

But gear advocates, flame away. That's just something you've gotta put up with when you post a video of yourself on the internet...

I dunno about flames, but I do think that you're insane. Of course, you not wearing proper gear doesn't endanger anybody else and so long as you're aware of the risks it's, very literally, your skin.

Well, the way I see it, not wearing gear does affect others, but indirectly through insurance. When medical expenses come up, not only will my insurance increase a lot, but also the insurance rates of many others will increase some as well.

To the people that didn't see the video, I am wearing a riding jacket (with CE Armor in the shoulders, elbos, and back), helmet, gloves, heavy jeans, and boots that cover the ankles.
